Staying Healthy During Pregnancy- Tricks to the “Trade”



There’s nothing like being pregnant and then getting sick on top of the pregnancy. Trust us! We know!

Somehow we both were germ magnets, especially during the first and second trimesters of pregnancy! With my first, I was a classroom teacher and picked up absolutely everything my darling students brought into the classroom! I finally learned and had my student services wipe down all the desks with Clorox wipes before I walked in! Yes, I was one of those teachers!!

Erin just plain got sick, like stomach flu sick. And no, it wasn’t morning sickness. 🙂 But she finally attributed to the way she cooked in her kitchen and the bacteria being inadvertently shared and eventually winding up in her system.

For so many reasons, whether you are still in the workplace, or you are at home with older children (no matter how old your other children are, they still are carrier monkeys- filled with germs), or just go out in public (so, that’s all of us), you are a little more susceptible to germs than the non-preggers. So, is there anything you can do to ward-off non-pregnancy related illness?
