An Update on Breastfeeding- How’s it Going, Girls?

https://www.inbetweenfriends.com Ah, yeah! You ask. We talk. You know the routine. So, why not revisit theoretical topics that we’ve previously posted on and let you know how things are shaping up in reality for Erin? Because we know there is life pre-baby and life post-baby, and those two parts don’t intersect at all in your understanding. It’s almost as if all the pre-baby knowledge flees your body with the birth of your beautiful baby, and you begin from scratch all over again. This time it’s a little more emotional and driven by spurts of panic.

Don’t pretend that hasn’t happened to you! (Wink!!) No worries…it’s happened to us too!!

Today’s topic is breastfeeding revamped. And why not? Because we know for those first 8 weeks it’s all about the breastfeeding. (We know…the glamorous motherhood dream flees too…that dream that your body parts won’t be hanging out for half of the day, and leak, and be sore, and be ginormous, and be the focus of your every waking moment you can actually rub two brain cells together!)

So, has breastfeeding been all Erin dreamed it would be? What does breastfeeding twins take in reality? What emotional hills has Erin had to die on in order to be “okay” with reality? Yep. We said “die” to emotions. You probably will hear that this might become our new mantra. Mind over emotions.

Spend a mere 5 minutes with Erin and Rebecca and see what’s going on in Erin’s mind (and you all know, she speaks it clearly and frankly…but that’s why we are kindred spirits). You know you have 5 minutes…because we have 5 minutes. Don’t ask how I just spent mine (ps…did you know Nick and Vanessa Lachey just birthed a baby boy…and that Heidi Klum is now talking about her divorce from Seal?? Yes. I do. Why? Because I just spent my 5 minutes on www.people.com. HA!)
